WOAH, new Korn song!
It starts with some drums (Ray) and thick-ass (Fieldy… no wait, he left, it’s Ra now?) bass building up to a… “GO” from Jonathan. Yay!
Munky, Head, and Ra going all in with their chug chug squeak trademark, and it’s good!
Jonathan comes in with a verse, as good as it is, it’s nothing we haven’t heard before, same with the chorus, then we get another GO.
Back to the main riff, which is good.
A quick background scat, and then back to the verse + chorus.
Ooh, there’s a breakdown that gets heavier and more intentional, and leads back to the chorus.
Last 20 sec is GREAT.

I read that Fieldy left after Requiem (2022), and this is the first Korn recording without him. That’s sad, he was so good on the bass. Ra is no slouch though (it seems like Suicidal Tendencies makes good bassists), and I guess Korn’s signature sound has a good balance of the dual guitars with the bass and drums. So I guess they’d need someone who can play bass in a similar capacity moving forward.
Anyways, so this song sounds like it has the crunch/structure/heaviness and style that would sit somewhere between Life is Peachy (or Korn) and Follow the Leader (or Issues). Pretty solid.
Good for them, and I’m looking forward to the full album!
